Pediatric Urgent Care Clinic in Tampa Treats Ages 2 and Older: Open 8 a.m. – 10 p.m. on Weekdays, 9 a.m. – 5 p.m. on Weekends

Pediatric Urgent Care in TampaWhen you need a pediatric urgent care clinic in Tampa, choose South Tampa Immediate Care. We understand that between the classroom and the playground, the school bus and the soccer field, your kids can encounter illnesses at any hour, day or night. That’s why we make sure we’re here to offer you and your family urgent care when you need it most.

Many parents want to know how they can best reduce their children’s chances of contracting common bugs that are often spread through germs at school and contact with other children. The Board-certified and Board-eligible doctors at our local clinic in Tampa have a few tips for keeping your kids healthy throughout the year:

  • Encourage your children to wash their hands frequently. Remind them to wash their hands before meals and after coming into the house from playing outside.
  • Inquire with your children’s teachers about the disinfecting policies at school. Are communal areas, like the coat rack, pencil sharpener, and door knobs, cleaned frequently?
  • Make sure your children have access to disinfecting wipes, instant hand sanitizer, and tissues at all times. Try tucking small travel packs of antibacterial wipes and tissues into their backpacks or sports bags.
  • Make sure your children are always equipped with enough school supplies, like paper, pencils, and crayons, so that borrowing from other children – and possibly spreading germs – can be kept to a minimum.

Despite your best efforts, parents can never completely shield their children from day-to-day exposure to germs. Luckily, when an illness does occur you have a reliable family medical clinic close at hand – South Tampa Immediate Care. Our pediatric urgent care facility treats patients ages 2 and up and offers convenient services like school physicals, sports physicals, flu shots, sore throat treatment, and much more.
